Nibtober Day 23

#nibtober2024
It takes so little to do your civic duty and vote. It's sad that voter turnout can be so low.
2020 was the largest voter turnout ever at 66%.
2018 midterm only had a 49% turnout, which according to Pew Research was the highest rate for a midterm since 1914.
2022 midterms had a lower turnout of 46%, and that exceeded all midterms since 1970.
According to US News and World Report, Turkey, Sweden, and Australia have above 80% turnout. Turkey and Australia have compulsory voting. But a lot of countries with high turnout make it very easy to vote.
We can do that here, but some folks would rather have power than empower people. How you vote in this election will determine if we we be al to do our civic duty again, or not.
