5 of Diamonds

Generalized meaning: pushed to limit, exclusion, needing help

The black figure is trying to get help from the figures above to unlock what they need, but they aren't listening, aren't seeing, and telling them to stay on their side. Help is not coming.

6 of Hearts

Generalized meaning: ephemeral, good memories, relationships, dreams

The figures hold each other as they dream together. It is a moment of joy and good things, and a dream of the future.

8 of Clubs

Generalized meaning: ease, moving quickly, harmony with the world

You move with the Autumn winds, letting it carry you through the streams of life. It moves fast, but gently, letting you see the world, even as you move through it.

8 of Spades

Generalized meaning: clarity, expansion, obvious answer, powerlessness

You are expanding and that energy is moving out from you faster than you can control it. Clearly, you need to let it go, but you won't know exactly what's going to happen with this new expansion. It's bright and shiny and new, but it's also much bigger than you.

King of Clubs

Generalized meaning: creative, forceful, entrepreneurial, charismatic, protective

The King of Clubs wants you to have everything you find on the journey: knowledge, wealth, friends and all that the journey has to offer. While he's not protective of the knowledge you seek, he'll be protective of you, making sure no one harms you in the process.

Queen of Clubs

Generalized meaning: energetic, nurturing, warmth

While the King of Clubs seeks to protect you, the Queen of Clubs wants to make sure you're ok and take care of you when you're hurt, cheer you on when you falter, and ensure you've had your dinner. She'll listen to you and empathize, but then send you on your way with wise words and a packed lunchbox.

Queen of Diamonds

Generalized meaning: charitable, prosperity, dependable, motherhood

While the Queen of Clubs is going to make sure you're ok, it's the Queen of Diamonds who's making that packed lunch, ensuring you have plenty of gold, and checking that all your hotel reservations, train tickets, and flight reservations are all paid for and are the best accomodations you can find. She's the one who will give you all the practical advice to make sure you will arrive where you want to be safely and on time.
