Night Church
The Night Church series will be a paranormal dark fantasy spanning several eras with a gay vampire pastor, other LGBTQA main characters, and plenty of intrigue. While this series isn't written as spicy, there will be some explicit spicy scenes and violence.
The Uranian Gambit (2027)
In the spring of 1880, Tobias Reid, Civil War Veteran and former slave, meets the newly arrived Johnathan Smythe, an English lord, who offers Tobias the opportunity of a lifetime. It's true that Lord Smythe keeps odd hours, has a strange skin condition that makes him burn easily in the sun, and refuses to take a wife, but the eccentric bachelor offers him not only employment, but a home for both him and his wife, Elisabeth.
However, it turns out that Johnathan is much, much more than he seems, and soon Tobias and Elisabeth are thrust into a world they couldn't have imagined existed. They are also pawns in this new Occult world-- not only between two sorcerers of legend, but of their own psyches.
Soon, Tobias is questioning everything, including his own wife's motivations. Can Tobias trust his new found friend Johnathan to not only protect him from the Occult and slave catchers who are hunting him, but also from being lost in time itself?
Night Church (2027)
In 1982, Johnathan Smith is a volunteer for Rising Hope Church's Night Mission: a shelter for queer and trans men in San Francisco. Johnathan thinks he is content with his life and the work that he does for the Mission, but when the new assistant pastor comes on board to oversee Rising Hope's mission work, Johnathan learns otherwise. Rev. Toby proceeds to turn his life upside down, helping a lonely vampire feel deep love and compassion again.
Rev. Toby Whittaker, a newly ordained pastor in his denomination, is excited about being called to serve with his mentor, Bishop Carl, at Rising Hope church. He's intrigued when he meets Johnathan– the volunteer who basically runs Rising Hope's night shelter– not only because he's attractive, but because he also fits the description of a man in the collected journals of Elisabether Reid, the wife of a transgender man in the late 1800s, that he had found in his seminary's library.
As they fall in love and reveal their deepest secrets to each other, forces move to drive them to their limits, not only from their own pasts, but by the looming crisis of AIDS.
